Business and Professional Women/USA, founded in 1919 is one of the oldest and largest organizations of working women. It is dedicated to finding solutions to the challenges that working women and their families face such as:
* Pay equity
* Balancing work and family
* Implementing family-friendly policies in the American workplace
The nonpartisan BPW/USA national legislative platform "Workplace Equity and Work-Life Balance" focuses on pay equity, health issues, civil rights, social security reform, dependent care, and workplace flexibility.
Missoula BPW
* Works to advance the personal and professional development of its members (networking, mentoring, informative programs, developing leadership, helping women achieve success).
* Helps support the MT Women's Lobby keeping local, state and national legislators aware of women's rights, needs and concerns.
* Helps support the Silent Witness Initiative, Inc. which is devoted to promoting peace, healing and responsibility in adult relationships in order to eliminate domestic murders in the United States by 2010.
* Offers scholarships and awards to post-secondary students.
* Recognizes outstanding women in the community by honoring a Young Careerist, a Woman of Achievement, and an Employer of the Year.

Missoula BPW meets twice each month. Guests are welcome.
